About Us
Aadhar Magaswargiya Mahila Sanstha, Solapur, has been doing social, educational and cultural work for the last 17 years. One day the founder of the organization Shri. Jagdish Kalkeri. Saw a mentally retarded boy from Ghongde slum area sitting in it after defecating. His mother was sitting there doing bidi kam (turning). At that time, Sir asked Mauli, "This boy is sitting in the toilet. Sir said, "You should clean that boy." Then Mauli said, "This boy is retarded and he defecates ten to twelve times a day and makes himself dirty. If I clean him, I have three children who will starve. I get wages on this. Then we (Founders Mr. Jagdish Kalkeri and Mrs. Shubhangi Kalkeri) decided that something should be done for these mentally retarded children. Then we took three-four children and started classes in one room. But we realized that each of these children have different mental and intellectual abilities and they are educated according to their intellectual abilities. When this was known, the president of the institute Mrs. Shubhangitai took up D.Ed.MR. Our aim is to take care of these children and try to make them stand on their own feet by teaching them proper skills. By doing this we take care of 60 children. Every child is educated according to his intellectual capacity.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide comprehensive care, education, and vocational training to mentally retarded children, empowering them to lead fulfilling and independent lives. We also strive to support marginalized women through legal aid, counseling, and self-employment training, helping them achieve justice and financial independence.

Our Programs and Initiatives
Aadhar Matimand Nivasi Vidyalaya
Established in 2009 in Kumbhari, Solapur, our residential school provides free education, boarding, food, medical care, and vocational training to mentally retarded children. We tailor our educational programs to meet the unique intellectual capacities of each child, ensuring they receive the best possible support to reach their full potential.
Women’s Empowerment Center
Our center addresses issues such as dowry harassment and family conflicts, offering counseling, legal assistance, and vocational training. We aim to help women stand on their own feet and achieve justice and self-sufficiency.
Child Welfare
We are dedicated to eradicating child labor and ensuring every child has access to education. Our special training center for child laborers in Sunil Nagar MIDC, Solapur, helps transition these children into mainstream education. We also provide educational materials and support to poor and needy children.
Community and Social Work
Since 2005, we have been involved in various social welfare activities, including de-addiction awareness, superstition eradication, and support for the disabled and elderly. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we distributed food kits, masks, and sanitizers to those in need, demonstrating our commitment to the community’s well-being.
National Initiatives
We actively participate in national initiatives such as plantation programs, health camps, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Beti Bachao Abhiyan, and Pulse Polio Vaccination campaigns. We also conduct workshops on human rights and women’s empowerment
